Welcome to Tessa's Kennel
My name is Tessa and this is my family. I have three awesome kiddos and a great man who helps me tremendously. We live on a small farm now on 3 acres with a large pole barn. Once the renovations are complete, I plan to offer dog boarding services, and I'll also focus on rescuing and training German Shepherd puppies as well as providing puppy training.

For those who do not know me personally, I have been in healthcare since 2007. I obtained my LPN in 2012 and have been a practicing nurse ever since. Over the years, I've worked in various settings, but corrections would likely be my favorite. Not only did I develop a newfound respect for correctional officers, but I also started a life with one. My partner is a Marine, which is why I offer a $200 discount to anyone with such backgrounds. Outside of healthcare, I’m also passionate about dog boarding services and enjoy training German Shepherd puppies, emphasizing the importance of proper puppy training for a well-adjusted pet.

My Pack
At Tessa's Kennel, my pack will always be just that. Mine. My dogs are not just a 'business' purchase to me, and while I understand that some breeders may choose to re-home adults, I simply do not have the heart to do it. If a dog does not pass any health testing, exhibits undesirable behaviors, has an unpredictable demeanor, displays physical traits I do not prefer, or retires, they will always stay with me. This commitment means my breeding stock will remain small, but it also ensures that every German Shepherd puppy and adult in my care is treated like family. Additionally, I offer dog boarding services and expert puppy training, ensuring every dog receives the love and attention they deserve.
Contracts
I have attached downloadable copies of the contract in multiple places on this website. Please take a minute to read this document, as no puppy, including our adorable German Shepherd puppies, leaves my home without a signed copy in hand. My contract also outlines our dog boarding services and essential puppy training guidelines.
Not everyone will get a puppy from me
As a breeder, it is my responsibility to ensure that every puppy, including my German Shepherd puppies, finds a loving and safe home. If I feel like you are not a fit for one of my puppies, then you will not be permitted to purchase one, even if you’re interested in dog boarding services or puppy training later on.
Your puppy needs you
Once your new puppy, such as a German Shepherd puppy, leaves my kennel, he/she will be solely relying on you for all care. As a new puppy owner, it's your responsibility to ensure proper socializing, adequate food, age-appropriate vet visits, and a safe environment. Just like a growing child, a puppy's joints are not fully developed, so rough play, frequent jumping, or jumping from high distances can injure a growing puppy. Additionally, consider utilizing dog boarding services when you can't be home, as this can help reinforce proper puppy training and socialization.
